Aberdare national park is one of the known homes to elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks among others. Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat, and the blue duiker. The drive is via the central Kenya highlands with stops to view tea and coffee plantations.

Itineraries

Day 1

Nairobi - Aberdares National Park

Pick up at your Nairobi hotel/residence. Drive through the highlands to Aberdare National Park. Arrive at the late morning. Check in at the Treetops/Ark lodge. You can proceed to the balcony where you will spot wildlife quenching their thirst. You can also proceed to the ground level to get a better glimpse of the wildlife while photographing. You can go for a nature walk in the rooftop and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Aberdares National Park to Nairobi.

Breakfast at Treetop Lodge. Then proceed for a game drive to spot wildlife including Zebras, Rhinos, Cheetahs, Leopards, elephants, and buffalos. You will also get to see the amazing Aberdare scenery and waterfalls. Then proceed to Aberdares Country Club in the afternoon for lunch. Leave the park at around 1730hrs for Nairobi.
